PERSONALITY Overall else, Frozenstar is a very misunderstood cat. Some cats feel she is cold and unwelcoming, and even make jokes about her name fitting her personality. Although she will never react to those jokes, they hurt her rather deep instead. It's not as if this she-cat is mean, but she has issues conveying happiness, unless she puts in a special effort to. Even then, her gaze always remains cold, which makes cats think she is being cold. Underneath a bit of a frosty exterior, this leader has a very warm personality. She is caring and protective of all of her clan-mates, and would give her life for any of them in a heartbeat. Often overlooked, this leader will make special trips to the nursery or to the medicine cat's den, to make sure every cat is doing well. She takes pride in the kits, often thinking of them as her own. Hopefully, this she-cat can have kits of her own one day, but she doesn't have high hopes for that, especially since she is now a leader. Even though this leader is kind-hearted, she's not perfect. Due to closing herself off emotionally at a younger age, she is unable to fully control her emotions around other cats, especially anger. Her emotions get bottled up for awhile, until she can't handle it, and has a melt down. Usually her meltdowns are just her leaving camp for a day or two, to cool down. One of Frozenstar's biggest fears, is hurting somebody that she is close to, and it's already come true once. She is determined to never let it happen again. Since she now has to be around cats more often, she holds herself high and proper, and tries to not let emotions show, just in case she can't control them. Due to the lack of contact with the other apprentice's while she was younger, she can be extremely direct. Although she can talk to kits and young apprentices all kind and sweet, the same doesn't apply to other cats. She will say it how it is, usually with a lack of tack and proper social skills. It's not as if she means to be nasty, she just doesn't understand the point of not being direct. Cats can usually have a better time understanding this forwardness, if they just look past it, and remember, what Frozenstar says, is usually with good intentions. Frozenstar was basically a born-to-fight cat. She is naturally a strong fighter, not in strength, but in her unique battle maneuvers. She has a skill of watching cats in battle, and using their weaknesses against them. Her mentor expanded off of this, and spent many days teaching the she-cat an effective way to battle opponents quickly and lethally. However, with this fatal style of fighting, the she-cat is often worried she will go too far, and become a monster. This makes her nervous being physically around cats, as she is scared she'll hurt others. Despite her emotional problems mostly being under control, this fear is not something to leave her, as she is emotionally scarred from it. Overall else, Frozenstar would do anything for her clan. She has felt this way since she was just an apprentice, but the feeling has grown stronger since becoming a leader. There is nothing she wouldn't do to protect her clan, including giving her life. Even if the leader has to go against her own moral beliefs one day, to keep her clan out of harm's way, that is what she will do, and she'd do it in a heartbeat. Frozenstar hopes it would never have to come to something like that, but she is still young, and during these times of hardship, she is looking for any way to make her clan's way of life better. HISTORY Frozenkit was born all by herself, to two very respected warriors within the clan. Her father was the deputy at the time, and worked very well along the leader. The nursery was bustling with activity by the time Frozenkit was able to walk, and she loved all the attention she got from the other kits, as well as her parents. She was a happy little kit, full of energy, and it was evident from a young age that the she-cat would be a skilled fighter. The leader would watch the kits, and noticed the she-cat's skills, and made a promise to her parents to give her a strong mentor. Her parents were overjoyed by this news. The two cats had even bigger news of their own as well! When Frozenkit was 4 moons old, her parents surprised her with a new litter, also consisting of only one kitten, Patchkit. The two sisters were very close, and would do everything together. It was a little heart-breaking when Frozenkit left the nursery, but she knew her sister would come soon after! Frozenkit became Frozenpaw, and the leader made good on his promise to give her a strong mentor. Foxfang was a senior warrior as well, and had grown up beside her father. He had the suffix -fang, due to his deadly fighting style. She could never say her mentor was mean to her, but he definitely held a lot of training practices, and was very hard on the she-cat. They spent a lot of time working on battle techniques. The old tom was overjoyed at the she-cats skill and observation in battle, and spent a lot of time improving on that. It was around this time that the tension started rising with the clans, and the leader wanted Foxfang to train her to be a lethal warrior, so she could mentor lots of young cats to do the same. With the extra training, the she-cat barely had time to spend with the other cats her age, but she did spend a lot of time with Patchkit. The two she-cats would talk about the day they'd both be warriors, and fighting side by side. Around this time, their leader passed in battle, and the she-cat's father became leader. Frozenpaw was overjoyed, and vowed to be just like her father someday. When Frozenpaw was a good deal into her training, at 10 moons old, Patchpaw was finally made an apprentice. Wanting the younger cat to catch up to her, so the two could become warriors together, they would sneak out at night, and do extra battle training. Frozenpaw was never good at hunting, since her mentor would only hold battle practices, so she decided to teach her sister battle skills instead. One night, both of their lives changed drastically. Foxfang has started being particularly hard on Frozenpaw lately, teaching the young she-cat death strikes. He told her, that these moves would win her any battle. She picked up on them quickly, and as the other battle moves already had, they became natural to her. One night, when the shecat was 13 moons old, while mock battling with Patchpaw, the younger apprentice managed to pin her sister down. Relying on her instincts from training, Frozenpaw went limp, and waited for Patchpaw to do the same in victory. Then, she pulled her paws down from above her head, onto Patchpaw's stomach with her claws out. She threw the apprentice off of her, racking her long claws from the bottom of the she-cat's belly to her chest, and flipped Patchpaw off of her. Frozenpaw then pinned her sister down with delight at winning, only to realize that something was wrong. Her sister was losing blood, and quickly. Frozenpaw cried in despair at what she had done, trying to help fix her sister with some moss to stop the bleeding, when her parents came out of the bushes, and crying in dismay at the scene in front of them. They rushed their youngest daughter back to camp, and left Frozenpaw there by herself. Too ashamed to go back to camp, Frozenpaw stayed out overnight, distraught by what she had done. Her dad came back in the morning for her. Patchpaw was in stable condition, and was expected to survive. She didn't remember what had happened, Patchpaw didn't know it was Frozenpaw who hurt her. The clan was told that it was a fox attack, so they would never know what really happened. The leader told her that this must never happen again, and that Frozenpaw was expected to be gentle around other cats. Even cats from other clans, should not be killed unless truly necessary. She was told to forget the killing tactics her mentor taught her, and that he was not to mentor the young she-cat any longer. A few short days after, she received the name of Frozenmist from her father. Her clan-mates were proud of the young cat, but Frozenmist couldn't forget the look in her parent's eyes as she got her name. She emotionally drew herself in, not wanting any friends. This included her sister. Frozenmist was so scared of hurting her sister, she cut off all contact with her, not even speaking to her. On patrols, she was quiet, although she worked hard. Her father would never let her be scheduled for border patrols though, only hunting. It was for the best. A few more moons went on like this. Although Frozenmist no longer spoke to her sister, she watched her train, and become the bright young cat she is today. When Patchpaw got her name of Patchflower, Frozenmist was overjoyed, but it didn't change anything. Despite her sister now being a warrior, she felt she could still hurt her sister, and she wouldn't be able to live with that. When she was 21 moons old, Shadowclan went to battle with Riverclan. Her father requested her to come in the second wave of attack, but Frozenmist declined, saying she was scared she would kill a cat. The leader respected her wishes, and appointed Patchflower to take her spot. After the battle cats went out, Frozenmist became restless. She hated her family all being gone, and despite not wanting to fight, she needed to make sure they'd be okay. When the third wave of cats went to attack, Frozenmist went with them to join the battle. The battle was disorienting, and while Frozenmist tried to find her family, cats kept appearing out of nowhere. She tried to bat them away, but their strength was something she had never experienced before, and she became lost in the battle. Frozenmist kept trying to escape, but cats came out of nowhere, until finally she saw her sister, watching a fight happening in the near distance. The white she-cat ran up to her sister, and then saw what her sister had been watching. A shadowclan cat stood over a motionless figure, with another body laying in the background. It was hard to tell, but Frozenmist recognized those cats anywhere. She could here her sister mumble "I'm too late". Frozenmist felt a rage come over her, as she ran towards the Shadowclan cat responsible for her parent's death. Controlled by pure anger, Frozenmist held no mercy. The Riverclan cat didn't even see her coming, leaned over the body to make sure the cat he killed, was in fact dead. Frozenmist immediately bit deep into his neck, shaking the warrior until he went limp in her grasp. By then, the battle started breaking up. She dropped the dead warrior in dismay at what she had done, and rushed off to camp with her clan. The deputy, now leader, saw her avenge her parent's deaths, and named the she-cat the new deputy of the clan, something Frozenmist was not happy about. She regrets not going in the second wave like her father asked, and feels if she had, she could have saved her parents. But turning down a deputy position would be disrespectful to her parents, so the she-cat accepted, and vowed to make her parents proud. Slowly, but surely, the she-cat started to open up again. Frozenmist felt she owed the clan a proper deputy, not a she-cat who was too ashamed to step out of her den. She started going to the nursery and would play with the kits, and used that kindness to try and reconnect with the rest of the clan. The deputy still kept her distance from her sister though, even though she wished to mourn her parents death with her. It got easier to open up everyday, and she's about to go through the hardest time in her life. The leader recently passed, and it's now up to Frozenmist to take over the clan. She's not quite ready, but as Frozenstar, she's hoping she can make her parent's proud. |
