PERSONALITY The tom is your typical apprentice, and just like any other, one might imagine. As most eccentric apprentices would be, Nightpaw has many sides and angles to his personality. Typically, the shadow warrior is calm, gentle, and seemingly at ease. When training is called into question, the tom is all eyes and ears. He takes such tasks extremely seriously and willingly works his paws to blood and bone, so long as his mentor is pleased. Nightpaw is a crowd pleaser, not to say he's a 'class clown', or someone who always demands the lime light. In fact, quite the opposite. He strives to be the best of the best, yet competition is of little matter to the tom. He aims to befriend and make everyone happy. Somewhere in all those efforts to make everyone else happy; however, Nightpaw loses himself. Typically, the tom is always 'the best friend'. He's that shoulder to lean on, and voice to confide in. The apprentice is extremely protective, especially when it comes to family. He likes to think of himself as optimistic, light hearted, but falls a little short of the draw line. Nightpaw tends to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, he's only an apprentice, yet he understands and is troubled by the world around him. The tom always seems to be filled with questions and troubles, yet he will never voice such concerns, and plague the minds of others with his own thoughts of paranoia. Nightpaw is comfortable with who he is. He'd willing talk the ear off of anyone who would stop to listen. Yet his is leery of others, mostly those concerning the others clans, or those that have become new to his life. But as earlier stated, he is easily befriended, and tends to be even tempered when it comes to the mishaps of others. Nightpaw is mild mannered and has learned to hold his tongue or face the consequences. Most of this is due to the apprentice's only sibling, and the terror of his life: Whitepaw. Unlike he, his sister has rebellious and daredevil-ish in nature. She knows exactly how to pluck at those tiny little heart strings to have Nightpaw dancing at the tips of her paw. The tom puts up with Whitepaw and her shenanigans, and offers her the voice of reason when called for. She does not always listen, and perhaps this is where that protective nature sprouts. Nonetheless, Nightpaw takes on life as it is handed to him. He is extremely loyal to his home and those who thrive in it. The apprentice is strong willed and determined, yet he lacks confidence in his skills as a warrior despite the fact there is nothing to fear. HISTORY Nightpaw, alongside his sibling, Whitepaw, we born into the very heart of Thunderclan. It was the beginning of leaf-fall when they were born, as the hot days died into a cool chill and the leaves churned against the earth. The duo were born into a thriving clan and strong parents. Nightpaw's father was a well respected tom, hard working and loyal to his clan mates, his mother had a wilder side. She was fierce, with a love for her clan and an even greater love for her kits. The two were an unlikely pair, but they made it work. And thusly, the siblings were born. However Nightpaw's father died two moons after they were born, fallen to an illness that ran rampant through the clan. Nightpaw scarcely remembers the strange tom, yet to dreamed of the warrior his mother made her mate out to be. When the pair reached six moons of age, the earned their apprentice names. This was the dawn of a new life, and Nightpaw literally took that notion to heart. Whitepaw had always had a tendency to take after her mother, but carried out the extremes of that feisty personality. Nightpaw was always the shadow dragged in tow. When they became apprentices, the pair were no longer a duo, as they began to drift. The ebony tom focused tirelessly on his training, sometimes taking life too seriously. He worked his heart, mind, and body day in and day out. And Whitepaw? Whitepaw does what she does. |
