A terrified kittypet watched as a cream and brown cat ate her delicious wet food. The cat, well, she knew him all too well as the leader of a group of loners and rogues. Terrifying cats that could easily kill her if they wanted. That was the only reason she complied, the only reason she didn't raise the alarm to her sleeping owner. If she tried, sure, the cat would leave temporarily but he would be back with others... Others that could easily rip out her throat before her twoleg could do a thing about it! She never hated her kittypet door as much as she did now as she watched the loner-leader finish her meal and raise his ice-blue eyes to hers.
"Thank-you for your kind offering. I will make sure that the Strikers keep a special eye out for you. No forest cats will dare harm you, my dear, not while we watch you." The tomcat gave a wink as he ended his words. Lies crafted to attempt to keep the kittypet happy. He knew that he didn't even need to pretend to have his group "protect" her, he was on the winning end in this deal. If she tried to fight he would kill her, if she tried to call her twoleg then he would kill her, if she tried to withhold the food then he would still kill her. It was a win-win situation. Of course, there was always the possibility of her leaving her twoleg to join his group which would be alright. He could always use fodder in battles. However, she was way more useful as a source of food than a fighter or hunter so he'd prefer her to stay right where she was.
Stryker gave a languid stretch as he ran his tongue over his jowls, savoring the taste of the food. "That food was delightful and you should expect me in four days time, as per usual. So long, my dear." Walking easily over to another bowl he scooped up a mouthful of dry food before he gave a polite nod and exited the kittypet's home via the kittypet door on the larger twoleg door. The twoleg's probably didn't even know of his existence or else they would probably completely lock their pet inside. However, he loved their ignorance. It made their food an easy target.
Now he made his way back to his home which was an alleyway behind a few twoleg stores. One of the buildings was abandoned while the other was a restaurant, a blessing because they threw out old food every once in a while. Stryker strode into the Striker's home base and gave nods of greeting and smiles to whomever wanted or needed one. His followers were all loyal and all willing to believe that he was a kind cat so long as he kept the food running and kept them happy. They were all complacent little sheep, of which he was glad.
Upon arriving at a large green dumpster with a small overturned trashcan outfront he dropped the mouthful of food on the ground then leaped up to the trashcan. The dumpster --or rather underneath it-- served as his nest while the trashcan was a throne of sorts. Chorat had sat at this very spot to observe his group and call to them for meetings, he used it for the same reason. He had no meeting to call now but he still liked to sit on top of the trashcan, it made him feel powerful to be able to look down on all the other cats. It also gave him a vantage point to see everything inside and a little bit outside of his alleyway. The food he had dropped on the ground was for his Enforcer, Selene. She was a valuable member and he always liked to keep her especially happy. So, whenever he visited his little kittypet "friend" he always brought her a little something back. Sometimes it was just dry food like today and at others --if he was lucky-- there was special stuff like treats or twoleg food.
He waited for his second paw to appear while he sat with his tail curled around his paws and his eyes half-slitted, like some sort of pasha as he awaited his subjects. If they needed him they knew they could approach and ask questions or give concerns. He would listen, or at least pretend to and offer consoling words when needed. Very rarely was anything of extreme importance brought up but there was always a first.
"What's there to talk about?"
What shall I mull over?
I suppose I'll take a walk.
